ALLPRO® Corporation |
AP4300 - 12373 |
Description |
Two-component, 1:1 ratio polyamide cured primer for use on clean and properly prepared metal or concrete surfaces. Offers excellent resistance to corrosion and exceptional adhesion to ferrous metal substrates. Resists solvents, dilute acids and alkali attack. Is suitable as use for protecting concrete substrates in secondary containment applications.

Prominent Features |
|
Uses |
Sewage Treatment Plants, Paper Mills, Aluminum, Marine, Plating Facilities, Iron, General Corrosion Environments, and Fuel Storage Facilities |
Limitations |
Will not cure when temperature is below
50°F. Do not apply when rain is expected, relative humidity
is greater than 90% or pH of surface is greater than 10. Most high gloss
enamels become slippery when wet. To ensure maximum safety on horizontal
surfaces, a small amount of sand or pumice may be added to give coating
nonskid characteristics. All
epoxy coatings will chalk and fade if applied on exterior surfaces subjected
to direct sunlight. Where color and gloss retention are important, top-coating
will be necessary. Will stain with prolonged exposure to brake fluid
or in a kennel if exposed to animal waste. This staining will not effect
the durability or protective qualities of the coating. Will not cure
at surface temperatures below 50°F. Not for immersion service.
|
Surface Preparation |
All surfaces must be sound, dry, clean and free of oil, grease, dirt, mildew, mill scale, form release agents, curing compounds, loose and flaking paint and any other surface contaminants. NEW SURFACES: PREVIOUSLY PAINTED
SURFACES - Can be applied over old thermoset finishes in good condition.
Test patches are recommended to check for wrinkling or lifting of existing
coatings. |
Application |
MIXING: Mechanical mixing is recommended for best results. If mixing by hand, stir each component thoroughly with a separate clean paddle. Pour desired amount of Component A into a clean mixing container. Then add an equal amount of Component B into the container and stir thoroughly. Allow to induct for 30 minutes before using. Be sure to mix only an amount that can be used in 6 hours. APPLICATION:Apply with brush, roller or spray. Do not thin if doing so would result in exceeding VOC limitations. Roll with 1/2" lambswool or 1/4" synthetic roller cover. Roll in one direction, rewet roller then cross roll. Airless Spray settings @ 77º:

Clean Up |
