Description ALLPRO Boiled Linseed Oil is a drying oil extracted from the seed of the flax plant and processed with special additives, which shorten its drying time, usually 12 to 18 hours depending on conditions. It is an excellent choice as an extender and fortifier of oil base paints, stains and primers. It assures a uniformly tough, elastic and glossy film that repels water, resists weathering, retards chalking and prolongs paint film life. In addition, Linseed Oil is an easy to use, quality finish for fine woods, furniture and antiques.
Prominent Features

Thins and eases brushing in oil based paints
Excellent coating for natural wood finishes
Very slow evaporation: tack free in 16 hours
Improves the flow and gloss of oil based paint

Conforms to Federal Specification TT-L-190

Uses Use on natural wood finishes. Improves the flow of oil based paints. Use on furniture to develop the full warmth and richness of unfinished wood and increase its resistance to water marks, scratches, and warping. Use on unfinished gunstocks to bring out their natural beauty. Conditions farm and garden implements and helps protect metal surfaces from rust.

Limitations Linseed Oil must penetrate the surface of the wood in order to completely dry. Any excess oil remaining on the surface after application should be removed by wiping with a clean, dry cloth. An excessive buildup of Linseed Oil will cause a gummy residue or blotchy finish to form on the surface of the wood. Do not use on baby furniture or toys.

Application Carefully read all cautions and directions for all products used in your project. Mix two parts ALLPRO Paint Thinner with one part Linseed Oil. Mix only enough for each application. Always wipe off all excess after allowing 5 to 10 minutes to penetrate. Wood finished with Linseed Oil can be further finished with paste wax, polyurethane or alkyd varnish. Boiled Linseed Oil may be added directly to oil base paints and stains to improve flow, lessen brush drag, and increase both the gloss and durability of the dried paint. Follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions for the addition of Linseed Oil. Do not use more than the recommended amount. Tools and equipment should be cleaned with ALLPRO Paint Thinner.

Clean Up Wipe away residue with mineral spirits or paint thinner.
