Description

ALLPRO® All-Seal™ Waterproofing Sealer is an alkali and U.V. resistant non-flammable, non-yellowing, waterborne sealer designed for use on above-grade concrete, masonry, and wood surfaces. It is a clear drying, environmentally friendly, fast drying water repellent based on state of the art Acryl-Hydrophobe copolymer technology. All Seal contains 50% more solids by weight than the leading competitor, giving it enhanced durability and greater water repellent properties. When dry, All Seal provides a rich, semi-gloss finish to the substrate. Easy-to-use water clean-up formula.

Uses

Ideal for use as a water repellent on concrete, masonry, stucco, brick, stone, adobe, drywall, plaster, roof tiles, grout, pottery, galvanized metal, vinyl siding, spruce, redwood, cedar (siding and shake shingles), plywood, pressed board, wafer board, wood decks (pressure treated), and more. All Seal can also be used as a masonry conditioner for binding moderately chalk-laden surfaces prior to final coating with top quality exterior latex house paint or elastomeric coating. By sealing the substrate surface, All Seal increases the overall waterproofing performance of topcoats, as well as extending top coat coverage - a cost saving advantage.

Limitations Do not use on wood that has been recently surface treated with insecticides and/or chemical preservative compounds that prevent dry rot. Do not apply when temperature of surface or air is below 50 degrees F (10 degrees C). If rain or threatening weather is expected within 8 hours, delay application until dry conditions. Never apply to frozen or frost covered substrates. Do not apply product to wet or water saturated substrates or when relative humidity is above 90%. Not for use below grade or under water. Do not use on traffic-bearing surfaces. KEEP FROM FREEZING.

Surface Preparation The most important factor in achieving a durable, quality finish is proper surface preparation. The substrate must be free from all surface contamination such as dirt, dust, laitance, mold, mildew, mortar, mill scale, loose paint, surface efflorescence, grease, oil, excessive chalk, and foreign matter. The removal of grease, oil, and dirt is best achieved by pressure cleaning while utilizing commercial degreasers. Neutralize chemical cleaners, and complete tuck-pointing, crack and delamination (spalling) repairs prior to the application of All Seal. Remove previous coatings by mechanical means (Caution: read all warning statements pertaining to dust masks, etc.). Do not apply over coated surfaces without testing for compatibility and adhesion.

Efflorescence is best removed by scraping and wire brushing the surface. Dust, dirt and chalk are best removed by high-pressure water blasting. To determine if the chalk has been sufficiently removed, wipe hand over the dried surface; if a powdery colored residue is still visually evident on the hand, then more high-pressure water blasting is required to remove this chalky layer to a practical bare minimum. Removal of laitance and any other under bound chalk-like matter is best achieved by etching the surface with a dilute solution of Muriatic acid; i.e., 4 parts water to 1 part Muriatic acid. Note: Always be sure to read all manufacturers' instructions pertinent to degreasers and Muriatic acid solutions prior to use.

Application Apply when temperature of surface and air is above 50 degrees F (10 degrees C). All Seal is alkali resistant, and can be applied to masonry surfaces 3-7 days after construction (PH must 11 or less).

Cementitious Surfaces:
All Seal is ready for use. Do not thin. Apply All Seal to a clean, dry surface by roller, HVLP (high volume low pressure spray system), or airless spray system. For maximum effectiveness, two (2) coats should be applied, allowing four hours between applications. Areas not being coated, such as windows and shrubbery, should be protected from overspray. All Seal may be mixed in a 1-1 ratio with acrylic paint to produce a pigmented primer/sealer. To improve the weatherability of latex paints, add All Seal in a 1-20 ratio (approx. one quart All Seal per 5 gal. latex paint).

Wood:
Due to its water repellent properties and built-in U.V. resistance, All Seal protects wood from the premature damaging effects of repetitious water absorption while allowing the wood to age naturally. All Seal can be applied to most above-grade wood building construction*. Follow above directions.

*Do not use on wood that has been recently surface treated with insecticides and/or chemical preservative compounds that prevent dry rot.

Clean Up Clean equipment with soap and water.
