Description Kitchen & Bath wallcovering adhesive is a synthetic polymer-based adhesive designed specifically for use in high humidity areas, such as kitchens and bath rooms. It can be used on pre-pasted and unpasted wallcoverings.

Prominent Features

» Outstanding adhesion
» Solves the most frequent wallcovering
problems in kitchens & baths
» Prevents curling edges & lifting seams
» Offers enhanced mildew protection
» Dries clear

Uses Recommended for light and medium-weight wallcoverings. Strippable when used with woven, fabric-backed vinyl wallcoverings when applied over ALLPRO® ULTRA•PREP™ primer.

Limitations Not recommended for direct application over oil/alkyd primers. Keep from freezing.

Surface Preparation Existing wallpaper must be removed. Surface must be clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, grease, oil, mildew, wax or loose paint. Check surfaces for paint bonding, damaged wallboard or plaster by cutting a small X with a sharp knife and attempt removal with a small piece of "Scotch" tape. Repair all unsound surfaces. Remove existing mildew by applying a solution of 1 cup of bleach to 2.5 gallons of water, then rinse clean. Prime all surfaces (including oil-based coatings) with ALLPRO® ULTRA•PREP™ acrylic primer. Before proceeding with any unusual conditions, consult your adhesive or wallcovering supplier.

Application Use only when the adhesive, wallcovering and surface temperatures are above 50ºF (10ºC). When using with pre-pasted wallcoverings, thin with eight (8) ounces of water per gallon prior to application. Use full-bodied when using un-pasted wallcoverings. Apply a thin, uniform coat of adhesive with a brush or roller to one sheet at a time. Avoid contact with the surface of embossed, textured or delicate wallcoverings. Note: Kitchen & Bath Adhesive takes one week to cure before it attains its properties. Book according to the wallcovering manufacturer’s instructions. Do not overbook.

Clean Up Clean all equipment and wallcovering surfaces immediately after use with warm, clean water with frequent changes of water. Additional effort may be required if the adhesive is allowed to contact the surface of embossed or textured vinyls.

Disposal Kitchen & Bath Adhesive is water-based and does not contain organic solvents. Place empty containers in normal refuse for disposal. Contact your local sanitation department or household hazardous waste coordinator for information concerning possible reuse or disposal of unused water-based paints, primers or adhesives.
