  • ASTM E84 Fire Resistance Tunnel Test
Substrate - Glass Reinforced Cement Board
Test Results - Flame Spread Index - 10
    Smoke Developed Index - 15
    Class A Rating
  • Dry Heat Resistance: 200°F continuous, 225°F intermittent

Uses

Use on wood, concrete, plaster, primed and previously painted metal. Ideal for use in schools, hospitals, food processing plants.

Limitations

Will not cure when temperature is below 50°F. Do not apply when rain is expected. Most high gloss enamels become slippery when wet. To ensure maximum safety on horizontal surfaces, a small amount of sand or pumice may be added to give coating nonskid characteristics. Not for immersion service nor severe chemical environments.

8 hour pot life. Will be less at higher temperatures. 30 minute induction period.

Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt, oil, grease, old loose paint, and other foreign matter. Glossy areas should be dulled by sanding. Bare wood and other rough surfaces should be sanded smooth. Painted surfaces, hand or power tool clean (SSPC-SP-2 or SSPC-SP-3), and spot prime. New cured or unpainted concrete - acid etch, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and allow to dry before applying coating.

Application

MIXING:The mix ratio is 4 parts Component "A" to 1 part Component "B" Activator. Agitate each component separately, then slowly mix Component "B" in container of Component "A", and mix thoroughly for 5 minutes. Wait 30 minutes for induction time.

APPLICATION: Apply by Brush, Roller, or Spray. Roll: 3/8" - 1/2" synthetic roller cover. Keep roller wet. Roll in one direction, rewet then cross roll. Do not over-roll. This can result in micro-bubbles, especially in warm weather.

Airless Spray settings @ 77º:
Tip Size: .013 - .017
Atomization Pressure: 1000-1500 psi

May be force dried at up to 140ºF. Dries to touch in 6 hours. May be put into service after 12 hours. Recoatable in 16 - 24 hours.

Clean Up

Clean up immediately after use with soap & water.

Disposal

Dispose of properly.
