Description

A durable, high gloss urethane-alkyd enamel for use on exterior and interior surfaces. Urethane enhanced formulation for better chemical resistance.

Prominent Features
  • Abrasion resistant
  • Excellent color retention
  • Alkali resistant
  • Self-priming over many surfaces
Uses

Formulated for use on wood, metal and cured concrete surfaces such as floors, trim, decks, doors, dadoes, stairs, machinery shelves, etc.

Limitations

Do not apply when temperature is below 50°F or when rain is expected. Most high gloss enamels become slippery when wet. To ensure maximum safety on horizontal surfaces, a small amount of sand or pumice may be added to give coating nonskid characteristics.

Surface Preparation

Surface to be painted should be clean and free of oil, grease, wax, dirt, rust, mildew as well as any peeling, flaking or powdering paint. Dull glossy areas by sanding. New concrete should be cured for at least 60 days. New or smooth concrete should be etched with muriatic acid solution before painting. New wood or concrete should be primed with this enamel, thinned with ½ pint of mineral spirits per gallon. Unpainted metal should be primed with a rust preventive primer such as ALLPRO® GuradPro™ Universal Primer or ALLPRO® PDQ™ Quick Dry Primer.

Application

Stir paint thoroughly before using. Apply with brush, roller or spray. Will cover most previously painted surfaces in one coat. Two coats will give surfaces better durability. Previously uncoated surfaces should be given two coats. Apply a full wet coat of 3 - 4 mils wet film thickness. 1.5 - 2.0 mils dry. No reduction is necessary. If thinning is necessary, use mineral spirits. Do not add any more than ½ pint of mineral spirits per gallon. Remove all splatters immediately with mineral spirits.

Airless Spray settings @ 77º:
Tip Size: .013 - .017
Atomization Pressure: 1000-1500 psi

May be force dried at up to 140ºF. Dries to touch in 6 hours. May be put into service after 12 hours. Recoatable in 16 - 24 hours.
