ALLPRO®

| Description | ALLPRO
ACRYLIC URETHANE WATERBORNE SANDING SEALER is ideal for interior use. It
seals completely and provides outstanding penetration into wood surfaces
with a minimal amount of grain raising. The clear formulation minimizes
potential tannic acid extractive staining which can result when water
based finishes are applied over open grained or unseasoned wood.

| Prominent Features |
|
| Uses | Ideal
for use in residential, commercial offices, institutions and light duty
industrial buildings. This sealer may be applied to interior wood
surfaces such as doors, trim, cabinets, dadoes, furniture, etc. May be
used on floors if topcoated with ALLPRO ACRYLIC URETHANE WATERBORNE
FINISHES
|
| Limitations | Do
not tint. Thinning is not required. If necessary, use ALLPRO ACRYLIC
URETHANE WATERBORNE VARNISH REDUCER up to 8 oz. per gallon. Thinning
with ALLPRO REDUCER will alter the VOC of this product. DO NOT apply the
coating to wood if wood is obviously moist (moisture content above 12%
as determined by a moisture meter). DO NOT apply when air or surface
temperatures are below 50º F or above 90ºF.
|
| Surface Preparation | Surface
to be coated must be clean and free of dust, grease, dirt or wax.
NEW OR BARE WOOD: Sand the surface to be sealed until it is smooth and free from flaws. Open grained woods, such as oak, may be filled with paste wood filler if a totally smooth finish is desired. Apply one coat of ALLPRO SEALER. Allow to dry 2 to 4 hours, then sand lightly. Pick sanding dust up with a tack cloth. Apply one or two coats of ALLPRO ACRYLIC WATERBORNE FINISH in the desired sheen. For best sanding results, sand within 48 hours otherwise cured film becomes hard and more difficult to sand. STAINED WOOD: Make sure that the stain is completely dry, then apply a full coat of ALLPRO ACRYLIC WATERBORNE SANDING SEALER. Allow to dry for 2 to 4 hours, then sand lightly and recoat with the ALLPRO clear finish of choice.
|
| Application | Apply
by brush, roller or spray. Stir thoroughly before and occasionally
during application. Do not shake. Best rolling results are achieved with
a 1/4" short nap roller. For best brush application, use a good
quality synthetic brush. When brushing or rolling, flow material on with
a minimum of strokes, with the wood grain. Do not continuously brush or
roll over the wet area. Apply coating at up to 450 square feet per
gallon on smooth sealed surfaces.
|
| Clean Up | Clean
up spills and spatters immediately. Clean painting tools with soap and
water. Follow manufacturer's recommendations for thorough spray
equipment maintenance.
|
| Disposal | Contains
organic solvents which may cause adverse effects to the environment if
disposed of improperly. Place empty containers in normal refuse
for disposal. Contact your local sanitation department or household
hazardous waste coordinator for information concerning possible reuse or
disposal of unused solvent-containing adhesives and/or sealants.
