Q.D. Alkyd Stains, A4400


Description	A quick dry, quick seal line of bleed and fade resistant penetrating alkyd stains designed for wipe-on, brush or spray application.

Uses	Designed for finishing or refinishing wood furniture, cabinets, floors, wood fixtures and paneling.
Limitations	The recommended finishing system is a stain, one sealer coat and one or two top coats. Do not exceed two top coats. ENTIRE SYSTEM NOT TO EXCEED 4 MILS DRY FILM THICKNESS. Allow to dry overnight when using oil-based varnishes, moisture-cure urethane or waterborne varnishes.
Surface Preparation	NEW WORK: Remove all dirt, grease, and construction contamination. Sand as necessary, removing all sanding dust with a tack cloth. Make certain wood is dry before applying stain. OLD WORK: Remove old finish completely, making sure that surface is free from contamination. Make sure the surface is dry and proceed as with new work.
Application	May be applied by wiping, brush or spray. Color and grain emphasis are affected by the dry time between application and wiping. Wiping in 1 minute will give the lightest color and greatest grain definition. As time is extended to 5 - 10 minutes, a darker color and less grain definition results. All pigmented stains should be stirred thoroughly prior to use and frequently during use. ENTIRE SYSTEM NOT TO EXCEED 4 MILS DRY. Each quick dry - quick seal ALLPRO Alkyd Stain is ready-to-apply as it comes from the container. Apply a full wet coat on all surfaces: Conventional Spray settings @ 77ºF: Fluid Pressure: 10 - 15 psi Atomization Pressure: 35 psi or less Brush or wipe-on using standard application to obtain a full wet coat. Wiping: wipe off excess stain with a lint-free wiping cloth after 1 to 10 minutes air dry. May be spray sealed with a lacquer sealer in 15 minutes. For floor finishing or for use with solvent or waterborne sealers, allow to dry overnight.
Clean Up	Clean up immediately after use with ALLPRO Paint Thinner or Mineral Spirits. To avoid spontaneous combustion, explosion or flash fires, promptly and safely dispose of used rags, container and unused contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

CAUTIONS

CONTAINS Petroleum Distillates, Xylene. Vapor harmful. May affect the brain or nervous system causing dizziness, headache or nausea. Causes nose, throat, eye and skin irritation. May be harmful if absorbed through skin.

Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. VAPORS MAY CAUSE FLASH FIRE. Prevent buildup of vapors by opening all windows and doors to achieve cross-ventilation. Do not breathe (dust, vapors or spray mist). Ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headache or dizziness or if air monitoring demonstrates vapor/mist levels are above applicable limits, wear an appropriate properly fitted respirator (see Code of Federal Regulations 42 CFR 84) during and after application. Follow respirator manufacturer's directions for respirator use. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Close container after each use. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not transfer contents to bottles or other unlabeled containers.

Use Only With Adequate Ventilation

FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately. In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention immediately. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call physician immediately.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

If spilled, contain spilled material and remove with inert absorbent. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
