Description

ALLPRO® Masonry Waterproofing Sealer is designed to protect vertical concrete and masonry against the damaging effects of moisture penetration. It penetrates deeply into the pores of concrete, binding sand and cement particles to form a tough, flexible, breathable film. ALLPRO Masonry Waterproofing Sealer is excellent for binding chalky surfaces to improve paint adhesion on all painted and unpainted substrates including concrete block, stucco, aluminum siding, drywall, and plaster. It’s unbeatable for strengthening mortar joints and reducing efflorescence on brick and also acts as a color rejuvenator on older painted surfaces like aged vinyl siding and stucco.  Applies milky white and dries to a clear finish.

Uses

ALLPRO® Masonry Waterproofing Sealer seals and protects concrete and masonry from the damaging effects of water penetration.  It rejuvenates old brick and plaster to “like new” condition and binds and waterproofs old mortar and brick.  Excellent for sealing and priming vertical concrete, masonry, brick, stucco, adobe, drywall, plaster, pottery, galvanized metal, vinyl siding, wood and more.  Add 4-8 oz. to 1 gallon of latex paint to improve spread rate and increase adhesion.  Use as a primer to bind chalky surfaces and lower pH.

Limitations

Use on above grade vertical surfaces or as a primer on horizontal surfaces – not for below grade use. Do not apply if rain is expected within 12 hours or if temperatures fall below 50˚F within 24 hours of application. Do not use on swimming pools, bird baths, water features, cedar, redwood or in areas where hydrostatic pressure is likely to develop. Do not use on very porous substrates like low density, decorative block (use ALLPRO Commercial Grade Waterproofing Sealer instead). Keep from freezing.

Surface Preparation

The critical factor in achieving a lasting finish is surface preparation.  Surface must be clean and dry. Remove loose paint and excessive chalk. Power washing is recommended.  Repair cracks and surface breaks. Chemical cleaners must be neutralized prior to application.  Cover windows, doors, etc. and use caution when applying on windy days.

Application

Read all directions thoroughly. Wear gloves and eye protection.  ALLPRO Masonry Waterproofing Sealer is ready to use; do not dilute. DO NOT SHAKE.  Apply with a brush, roller or sprayer (garden or airless). Backroll spray applications to ensure complete penetration. Apply at least two coats, allowing two hours dry time between coats. Remove any overspray immediately with water. Note: Sealer appears milky white during application but dries to a clear satin finish.

Garden Sprayer: lightly spray surface with a fan-tip spray pattern, then backroll to ensure penetration and prevent puddling.  Remove overspray immediately with water.

Roller: dampen a short-nap (1/4” – 3/8”) roller with water, remove excess, then saturate with sealer.  Roll onto surface keeping a wet edge to avoid streaks.  Do not allow to puddle, foam or run.

Clean Up/Storage

Clean all tools immediate after use with soap & water.  Store unused product in a dry place above 50ºF.  Do not use solvent-based cleaners on surface; clean occasionally with a mild soap and water solution.
